Ronstadt Booted from Casino for Fahrenheit 9/11 Comment

From News4Jax:
Before singing an encore at the Aladdin hotel-casino [Saturday], [singer Linda] Ronstadt called [filmmaker Michael] Moore a "great American patriot" and "someone who is spreading the truth" - and encouraged everybody to see his movie "Fahrenheit 9/11."

Her comments drew loud boos, and some of the 4,500 people in attendance stormed out of the theater. People also tore down her posters and tossed cocktails into the air.

The president of the Aladdin, Bill Timmins, was watching the show and decided Ronstadt had to go - for good. She wasn't even allowed back in her luxury suite and was escorted off the property. Timmins, who called the incident "a very ugly scene," said as long as he's running the Aladdin, Ronstadt won't be coming back.
Anyone care to bet on Nevada's map-'color' come November? I say 'get it on tape'; if you're going to get political on stage, make sure you're on network television, and not just playing to a captive house. That way, if you get a tough crowd, you're less likely to get lynched by yahoos. She's lucky she didn't get beaned with a Brandy Alexander.
