Bulldozer T-Shirt Sales Benefit Granby Relief Fund

by Lenka Reznicek [permalink]
Denver Post -- The Granby Chamber of Commerce has sold nearly 1,000 fundraising shirts that sport a drawing of Marvin Heemeyer's bulldozer with a circle and slash over it.

It's an effort to take something good out of a bad situation, chamber executive director Sharon Brenner said. So far, T-shirt sales have contributed net profit of $3,500 to a relief fund that has reached $103,000.

"We went through a lot of changes so we wouldn't insult anybody," Brenner said of the hours of discussion that went into designing the $10 shirts. "At the same time, we knew the bulldozer would be what sold the shirt."
I haven't been able to find a website or sales outlet where people outside the area can buy the fundraising shirts (the Denver Post lists them as selling for $10 each), but here is some contact information:
Greater Granby Chamber of Commerce
P.O. Box 35
Granby, CO 80446

email the Chamber
It's for a good cause, since state and government agencies will only be able to cover part of the cost of repairing the damage done in Granby on June 4. I'll drop the chamber an e-mail and pass on any ordering info here.
